Job Description
Genis Steel Leading industrial and residential steel manufacturer located in Melbourne is currently seeking to employ a qualified and experienced Metal Machinist to join the manufacturing department in Somerton VIC.
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
Study and read drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations and machine settings
Fit fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts to produce machines and equipment
Setting guides, stops and other controls on machining tools, setting up prescribed cutting and shaping tools in machines and presses, and setting controls for machines
Forming metal stock and casting to fine tolerances using machining tools to press, cut, grind, plane,



bore and drill metal
Cutting, threading, bending and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machine, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment
Skills & Abilities
Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical trade
Ideally have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a related field
Experience with beams lines and plasma plate cutting
Salary range is $70,000 -$85,000 commensurate with experience Hours: Fulltime Applications open on 8th July **** and closes on 8th August ****.
