The Company is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel with a focus on employment and industrial relations to join their team.
This role is pivotal in supporting the integration of a newly acquired business and partnering with senior stakeholders on complex employment and industrial relations matters.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing pragmatic legal advice on a range of strategic workplace issues, including enterprise bargaining, industrial strategy, managing industrial disputes, and supporting the employment aspects of acquisitions and organizational change.
The role also involves advising on the interpretation and application of workplace legislation, developing workplace policies, and coaching senior leaders on workplace relations.Applicants for this role should be experienced employment or industrial relations lawyers with a solid commercial focus.
The ideal candidate will have a background in private practice or in-house, with a deep understanding of the Fair Work Act, modern awards, and enterprise agreements.
Experience in enterprise bargaining, industrial disputes, and workplace compliance is essential, and exposure to mergers, acquisitions, and workforce integration is highly regarded.
The role requires the ability to partner directly with senior leaders, excellent stakeholder management, and communication skills.
