We are seeking an experiencedWorking Supervisorto oversee operational activities at our Port Melbourne site.
This role requires strong leadership, technical oversight, and a commitment to safety and compliance.
You will be responsible for coordinating teams and contractors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
Contract:6-9 months
What You'll Do:
Safety & Compliance: Lead by example in maintaining a safe work workplace; ensure all team members follow WHS standards and procedures.

Contractor Coordination: Liaise with subcontractors, oversee site logistics (access, deliveries, plant positioning), and represent the team in site meetings.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain daily logs, inspection records, and corrective action reports; provide updates on progress and deviations.
Induction & Competency Checks: Support worker inductions, verify licenses/tickets, and ensure competency across all operatives.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes,



efficiency, and safety outcomes.
What You'll Bring:
Trade qualification (Cert III in Mechanical Engineering or Fabrication).
Proven supervisory experience in trade, energy, industrial, manufacturing, or construction environments.
Strong technical knowledge with ability to interpret engineering/project documents.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage contractors and operational teams effectively.
Commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
Knowledge of project management methodologies and industry codes (ASME, API, ASTM).
