We're looking for atechnically experiencedengineerwho enjoys the blend of being"on the tools" and leading a team.
As one of two Lead Project Engineers, you will manage a portfolio ofOE and Aftermarket projectsas well as leading and mentoring your own team of design engineers.
Developing and managing effective stakeholder relationships is paramount, not just a peripheral task but a central component that will drive successful outcomes, motivate the team and create an environment where challenges are met with solutions.
What is expected?
As a Lead Project Engineer, you will:
Lead the chargein designing, developing, and validating innovative, high-quality products that meet compliance, durability, and cost expectations.
Mentor and supportan elite engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence, ownership and skilled growth.
Ensure robust and documented engineering processesare followed consistently, including Testing and Validation, ECRs, BOMs, and more.
Collaborate with cross-functional teamsto ensure designs are manufacturable and commercially viable.




Work with the other Team Leads to ensure a consistent level of performanceacross the Functional Accessories Division.
Identify cost optimisation opportunitieswithout compromising product quality.
Promote a strong safety and environmental cultureconsistent with APG policies.
What you bring to the role
You are a technically accomplished engineering leader, ideally with a depth of knowledge in vehicle accessories who enjoys the pace and hands-on environment.
What else?
Abachelor's degree in mechanical engineering(mandatory)
CPEng and RPEQ accreditationor eligibility (mandatory)
Significant engineering experience particularly in metal fabrication, assemblies, and plastic moulding
Strong knowledge ofproduct design formanufacture and assembly
Advanced proficiency inCAD (SolidWorks), FEA, ERP/BOM systems
Demonstrated experience inproduct development and stakeholder engagement
High-level communication and interpersonal skills
Apractical, hands-on mindsetwith a passion for automotive products
Off-road and 4WD experienceis preferred
