Experienced Fitter for Trailer Manufacturer
To increase our workshop output and continue to grow, Victorian Trailers Pty Ltd requires a number of experienced industrial / mechanic fitters for Monday to Friday role (minimum 38 hours per week) with overtime and Saturday shifts available.
This position suits a mechanically-minded person that comes up with on the spot solutions to ensure the safe and effective running of the business.
Your main responsibilities include but not limited to:
Demonstrated knowledge in the use and care of technical equipment and power tools
Assembling trailer parts to its mechanical specifications
Wiring trailer lights
Fitting cages to trailers
Fitting hubs and wheels to trailers
Bleeding brakes
Grinding, bending, cutting material to design and specifications
Loading and unloading trucks
Some heavy lifting involve
Planning, organising and prioritising your daily tasks
Awareness of occupational hazards and application of appropriate control measures
Comply with work health and safety (WHS) requirements at all times
Reporting to the production supervisor
Occasional trouble shooting and fault repairs
Clean and maintain a safe and tidy work station
Industrial and Mechanical Fitting qualification (Certificate 3 of Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent)
MUST demonstrate industrial and mechanical fitting knowledge and experience (2 years and more)
Ability to work in a team or independently, unsupervised and with a qualified attitude
Quality focused with a good eye for details
Thorough understanding and compliance with OH&S; in the work place
MUST be available for an immediate start
Physical fitness for manual work

In return we offer a full-time salary of $75,000 – $85,000 plus Superannuation.
