HOBAN Recruitment is partnering with a well-established Australian business to recruit a hands-on finance qualified to join their close-knit team inLaverton North.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a stable organisation replacing a long-standing employee who is retiring.
Construction industry experience is essentialfor this role, as you'll be working with industry-specific payroll requirements, project-based accounting and a fast-paced operational environment.
About the Role
Accounts Receivable
Accounts Payable
Weekly payroll processing for approximately 60 employees (increasing to around 100 during peak periods)
Bank and account reconciliations
General ledger maintenance
Supporting month-end processes
Maintaining accurate financial records using Xero
Providing general finance and administration support to the business
About You
Demonstrated experience in a Senior Accounts Officer, Accounts & Payroll Officer or Bookkeeper role
Previous experience within the construction, crane hire, civil, transport or a related industry (essential)
Strong experience across Accounts Receivable,



Accounts Payable and payroll
Experience processing payroll for a mixed permanent and casual workforce
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
The ability to work autonomously while working collaboratively within a small team
Experience using Xero or the ability to quickly learn new accounting systems
