This is a full time on-site position for a Senior Accountant based in Newcastle, NSW. The Senior Accountant will directly support directors, managers and clients to:
Prepare compliance work for a broad client base (Including financial reports, tax returns, BAS and payroll tax)
Assist the manager and director with advisory work
Attend to tax matters, including GST, CGT, FBT and Div7a
Ensure all compliance reporting deadlines are met
Coach junior staff, including reviewing their work
Qualifications
5+ years' experience in a business services firm
Commenced or completed CA/CPA
Completed a commerce/accounting/finance degree or similar
Excellent technical knowledge across all relevant legislation
Experience with Xero accounting software is required
Committed to delivering an exceptional client experience
Experience in coaching, managing and inspiring others
Proven flexible, adaptable and innovative problem-solver
Professional, friendly and down to earth
Great communicator and team player
Australian work rights are required for this position
