HVAC Trade Assistant – Corrosion Treatment, Warehouse & Deliveries
Coolabah Cooling & Electrical is looking for a practical, reliable person to join our team in a varied, hands‐on role.
A key responsibility will be preparing and applying specialist corrosion‐protection treatments to outdoor air‐conditioning units. This is an important and growing part of our business, particularly in coastal environments where salt exposure can significantly shorten equipment life.
Approximately 30% of the role will involve corrosion‐treatment work. Full training will be provided, but the successful applicant must be capable of carefully and consistently following the required preparation, spraying, safety and quality‐control processes.
The remainder of the role will be divided across warehouse duties, equipment deliveries and assisting our technicians with air‐conditioning installation and maintenance work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparing air‐conditioning units for corrosion treatment
Applying specialist protective coatings using spraying equipment
Following established application, safety and quality‐control procedures
Completing treatment photographs and records
Cleaning and maintaining spraying equipment
Receiving, organising and preparing equipment and materials
Delivering equipment to job sites throughout our service area
Assisting technicians with installation and maintenance work
Keeping vehicles, equipment and work areas organised and well maintained
ABOUT YOU
Is reliable, punctual and genuinely willing to work
Takes pride in careful, consistent workmanship
Has positive attention to detail and can follow established processes
Is practical and comfortable using basic hand and power tools




Can safely lift and handle air‐conditioning equipment
Is comfortable working outdoors and in hot conditions
Can adapt when daily priorities change at short notice
Communicates well and works effectively within a team
Will properly care for company vehicles, tools and customer property
A current driver's licence is essential, with a manual licence strongly preferred.
Previous experience in spraying, protective coatings, warehousing, deliveries, construction, trade assistance or air conditioning would be advantageous but is not essential. We are equally interested in practical people with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Earlier starts, paid overtime and travel throughout our service area may occasionally be required. Daily duties may also change at short notice depending on operational and site requirements.
