Coast Rover is currently building the founding team of casual passenger transport drivers to operate modern minibuses throughout Cairns, Cairns Northern Beaches, Palm Cove, Clifton Beach, Trinity Beach, Kewarra Beach, Smithfield, Ellis Beach, Wangetti and Port Douglas.
Pay is in accordance with the Passenger Vehicle Transportation Award ****, expected Grade 3 casual driver rates, currently $***** per hour + super + applicable penalty rates + tips.
What is a Vanbassador?
At Coast Rover, our drivers are known as Vanbassadors.
Because they're much more than drivers.
A Vanbassador is a professional driver, a welcoming local face and an ambassador for our region.
Whether you're taking someone to dinner, the beach, work, the airport, a local event or safely home, you'll help passengers enjoy more than simply getting from A to B.
You'll represent Coast Rover through safe driving, genuine hospitality and exceptional customer service, creating memorable experiences that passengers will recommend to family and friends.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Coast Rover Vanbassador, you'll:
Safely transport passengers to their destinations.
Deliver exceptional customer service on every journey.
Welcome passengers with professionalism and a friendly attitude.
Assist passengers with luggage, shopping, prams and mobility where required.
Share helpful local knowledge and recommendations.
Operate our booking technology and navigation systems.
Keep your vehicle clean, tidy and presentable.
Represent Coast Rover and our community with pride.

Who Makes a Great Vanbassador?
You might currently work in hospitality, tourism, retail, customer service, transport or another people-focused industry.
You may be semi-retired, looking for flexible work, returning to the workforce or simply ready for a role that's more rewarding than sitting behind a desk.
If you genuinely enjoy helping people and take pride in delivering exceptional service, we'd love to hear from you.
Before You Join the Team
Successful applicants will generally require:
A current Queensland Driver Licence.
The ability to obtain a Queensland Driver Authorisation (DA) before commencing employment.
Australian working rights.
A customer-focused attitude.
The ability to meet any regulatory requirements associated with obtaining Driver Authorisation.
If you don't already have a Driver Authorisation, don't worry.
We'll explain the process, answer your questions and point you in the right direction.
Full induction and on-the-job training are provided to help you become a confident Coast Rover Vanbassador.
Professional Coast Rover uniforms are also supplied.
Physical Requirements of the Role
Being a Vanbassador is an active role that involves more than driving.
Assist passengers when boarding and exiting the vehicle, including those who may require additional assistance.
Load and unload luggage, shopping, prams and personal belongings.
Safely perform the everyday lifting, carrying and reaching associated with passenger transport.
Spend extended periods sitting while driving, with regular entry and exit from the vehicle throughout your shift.
Maintain the level of mobility and fitness reasonably required to perform these tasks safely.
