Draftsperson – Mechanical Design
Bayswater, VIC$40/hr + Super | Casual / Full-Time | Immediate Start
Our client is a well-established Australian manufacturer specialising in mechanical truck components and engineered solutions.
Due to growth and a strong pipeline of projects, they're looking for a Draftsperson to join their team in Bayswater.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside an experienced Mechanical Engineer, producing detailed manufacturing drawings for a range of heavy vehicle components in a stable, long-term role.
About the Role
Produce detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings
Create manufacturing and fabrication drawings for truck components
Work closely with the Mechanical Engineer to develop new and existing products
Update and revise drawings as required
Liaise with the workshop to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable
Support continuous improvement of products and processes
About You




Previous experience as a Draftsperson or Mechanical Designer
Proficient with CAD software (Ideally Onshape)
Experience producing manufacturing or fabrication drawings
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively with engineers and workshop staff
Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
