The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced
Compliance & Risk Officer
to help ensure our organisation continues to deliver safe, high-quality services that meet the NDIS Practice Standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Working closely with our leaders, you'll play a key role in strengthening governance, supporting internal audits, managing organisational risk and helping teams embed quality practices across the organisation.
Classification:
SCHADS Award commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours:
0.6 FTE to 0.8 FTE negotiable
Location:
Taree office with occasional travel to other sites.
About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Leader - Corporate Services you will:
Coordinate the organisational Compliance Register and Corporate Calendar
Maintain the Risk Register
Facilitate risk reviews with operational teams
Coordinate internal quality audits and monitor improvement actions
Support NDIS Certification Audits and other external reviews
Prepare reports for Quality & Governance Committee meetings
Review policies and procedures to ensure legislative compliance
Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation
Educate and coach leaders in quality and risk management practices.
The role works collaboratively across the organisation to ensure our quality and risk management systems continue to evolve and improve.
What We're Looking For
You'll be someone who enjoys improving systems, building relationships and helping organisations achieve best practice.
Ideally you have:
Experience in compliance, quality assurance, governance or risk management
Experience within disability, community services, aged care or healthcare
Strong knowledge of the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators
Experience conducting internal audits and managing corrective actions
Excellent written communication skills
Strong organisational and project management skills
High attention to detail
Confidence working with leaders across all levels of an organisation
The ability to analyse information and make practical recommendations
A proactive, solutions-focused approach to continuous improvement.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in community services, disability, business, governance, risk management or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
Essential Requirements
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Current Driver Licence
Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willingness to complete).
