Out of School Hours Care – Assistant Coordinator
Located in a beautiful leafy northern suburb of Sydney, Forestville Montessori School (FMS) is a vibrant community focused on offering an authentic Montessori education to children from Birth to age 12. We are currently seeking applications for an outstanding Assistant Co-ordinator to join our Out of school hours Care team.
Our Out of School Hours (OSHC) service provides primary and preschool children with a relaxed and engaging time where they can choose experiences from a range of different activities. The successful applicant will be responsible for working alongside our Coordinator to develop experiences to engage children within the service, guide staff, set expectations and supervise children aged from 2 to 12 years old.
Daily experiences include: craft, sport games, dramatic play, nature-based activities, cooking, music. We emulate the Montessori philosophy and prepare the environment following Montessori protocols.
Our out of school hours care program operates during school terms 5 days a week from 2:30pm to 5.30pm. Our Vacation Care program operates during school holidays.

To be considered for this role you must have:
Cert III or Diploma in Children's Services
a current Working with Children check
Current First Aid certificate
availability to work 2:30-5:45 pm 5 days per week

to have excellent verbal and written English skills
capacity and willingness to consent to and fulfil the obligations of a Nominated Supervisor including ensuring children's health and hygiene, safety and wellbeing, risk management.
There may also be the opportunity to perform casual work as a classroom assistant within the school during school hours for the right candidate.
