Programmed Skilled Workforce is currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused Weighbridge Operator / Grain Classifier to join our team. While this role has a strong administrative focus, the successful candidate will also be required to assist with general site operations and outdoor activities as required. This position suits someone who is adaptable, enjoys a variety of tasks, and is willing to support the broader site team in both office and operational environments.
GrainFlow operates a network of grain storage facilities across Australia, supporting the efficient receival, storage and outturn of bulk grains and oilseeds.
About The Role
Reporting to the Site Manager, your duties may include:
Operating the site weighbridge and accurately recording vehicle and grain information
Completing general site administration and data-entry tasks
Assisting with stock control and maintaining accurate site records
Sampling and testing grain to determine quality and classification
Operating automated grain sampling and testing equipment
Undertaking manual grain probing when required, including during equipment breakdowns
Conducting grain quality testing using specialised sampling and testing equipment
Assisting with general site operations and supporting the wider site team
Performing designated First Aid duties where required
Following all site safety procedures, work instructions and operational requirements
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
Previous experience in administration, weighbridge operations, grain handling, agriculture,
logistics or a similar operational environment
Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately enter and maintain records
Sound computer and administrative skills
The ability to understand detailed instructions and follow established procedures
Strong communication and customer service skills when interacting with truck drivers, growers and site personnel
A proactive and safety-focused approach to work
The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
A willingness to undertake industry-specific training and learn grain sampling and classification processes
The physical capability to complete repetitive manual-handling tasks and other operational duties
The ability to work safely in a fast-paced outdoor environment and in varying weather conditions
