About the Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to join Altara as we continue through an exciting growth phase, building on the strong relationships we?ve established across the Aviation, Aged Care, Healthcare and Hospitality sectors.
Reporting to the COO, you?ll play a key role in supporting the financial performance of the business through high-quality reporting, forecasting, controls and commercial analysis. We?re seeking an experienced and commercially minded Financial Accountant who thrives in a busy work environment where supporting small team team and working closely with operational and executive teams, is what motivates you every day.
What You?ll Do
Partner with the CEO, COO and leadership team to support strategy and drive commercial outcomes
Provide financial insights, feasibility analysis and financial modelling to support business growth and future commercial arrangements
Prepare and maintain accurate, budgets, forecasts and management accounts.
Monitor performance, analyse variances and support continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain internal controls, risk management and cash flow reporting
Support system improvements, reporting enhancements and cost control initiatives
Support and mentor our payroll and accounts teams in their delivery of key accountabilities and processes.
Assist with banking, funding, capital expenditure,
project feasibilities and financial due diligence
About You
You?re a commercially minded and detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and partnering with stakeholders across the business. You?re comfortable translating financial information into clear, practical insights that support decision-making and growth.
You?ll also bring:
Experience in a financial accounting, ideally within healthcare, labour hire or similar multi-site, multi-state environments
Strong background in management reporting, budgeting and forecasting
Experience with MYOB Acumatica Enterprise
Experience with systems, controls and governance frameworks
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to lead and mentor others
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
CPA, CA or equivalent (essential)
