We are seeking
2 Principal Java/Bespoke Software Engineers (EL2 Equivalent)
to support and enhance
NEXUS
, platform for our Federal Government Client.
Mandatory Requirements
Australian Citizenship (Essential)
Ability to obtain or hold Baseline Security Clearance
Willingness to participate in a 24x7 on-call roster for a critical lifeline application
Location
Canberra, ACT (Hybrid)
Work-from-home flexibility available
Sydney-based candidates able to travel may be considered
Contract
12-month initial engagement
2 x 12-month extension options
Up to 40 hours per week

Key Skills Required
8+ years Java development experience
Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, Java EE
REST APIs, SOAP Services, OpenAPI, XML/JSON
AWS (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS,



CloudFormation)
Oracle Database, Data Modelling, PL/SQL
ReactJS, HTML, CSS
Linux/Unix and Bash Scripting
CI/CD using Jenkins, Git, Maven and Ant
Enterprise application design and development
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications
Support AMSA's NEXUS cloud and backend systems
Design and implement AWS-based integrations
Build and maintain Oracle database solutions
Produce technical documentation and design artefacts
Participate in software releases and operational support activities
