What you'll do
Develop, deploy, and operate a sophisticated validator infrastructure to support the firm's trading activities.
Manage on-chain infrastructure components such as validators, light clients, RPC nodes, and related services to ensure high availability and security.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot infrastructure issues, resolve technical problems, and optimize system performance.
Design and implement monitoring and alerting systems using tools like Prometheus and Alertmanager to detect and respond to incidents rapidly.
Stay current with the latest developments in blockchain technology, consensus algorithms, and distributed systems to inform infrastructure improvements.
Enhance the security of infrastructure by implementing best practices for key management, server hardening, intrusion detection, and vulnerability mitigation.
Participate in external partnerships and community forums to promote knowledge sharing and contribute to the broader blockchain ecosystem.
Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and configuration changes to ensure infrastructure stability and scalability.
Support incident response efforts, including root cause analysis and post-mortem documentation, to prevent recurrence of issues.
Assist in scaling infrastructure as the firm's trading volume and technology footprint grow, ensuring systems can handle increased load.
Document infrastructure architecture, procedures,



and operational guidelines to facilitate knowledge transfer and onboarding.
Collaborate with engineering teams to automate deployment pipelines and improve operational efficiency.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of infrastructure resilience, security, and performance.
Engage in proactive capacity planning and resource management to meet evolving business needs.
Support the team in adopting new technologies and integrating them into existing infrastructure.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the organization's strategic goals.
Requirements
Demonstrated strong interest in blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and distributed ledger systems.
Proven ability to work efficiently within a flat, fast-paced team environment managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Experience managing proof-of-stake blockchain infrastructure, with familiarity in networks such as Solana or Ethereum.
Solid understanding of Linux operating systems, including system administration, security, and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment.
Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus and Alertmanager to maintain system health.
Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and firewall configurations.
Experience managing infrastructure in cloud environments or on bare-metal servers.
Proficiency with orchestration and configuration management tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Salt.
Strong software engineering fundamentals, including scripting and automation skills.
Proficiency in bash scripting and at least one programming language such as Python, Golang, or Rust.
Ability to work reliably and consistently, providing support during critical operational periods.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues quickly.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and external partners.
Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving infrastructure requirements.




Nice to have
Experience with on-chain trading platforms, decentralized finance (DeFi), or risk management systems.
Familiarity with consensus algorithms beyond proof-of-stake, such as proof-of-work or other blockchain consensus mechanisms.
Prior experience working in a trading or financial technology environment, especially within proprietary trading firms.
Knowledge of security best practices specific to blockchain infrastructure, including key management and intrusion detection.
Understanding of blockchain development tools, SDKs, and APIs to facilitate integration and troubleshooting.
Skills & tools
