Here's what you'll need
To succeed inthisrole, you will bring:
Registration as a Victorian Registered Heritage Advisor, with the qualifications and experience required to lead fieldwork in accordance with the Minister's Guidelines
An Honours or postgraduate degree in archaeology, heritage management, or a related discipline
7+ years' consulting experience, with a strong focus on Aboriginal heritage in Victoria (additional experience outside Victoria and/or in historical heritage is advantageous)
Demonstrated knowledge of State and Commonwealth heritage legislation, associated regulations, and guidelines
Extensive experience leading medium and large complex Cultural Heritage Management Plans (CHMPs)
Strong research, fieldwork, and site analysis capabilities
Skills & Capabilities
You will alsodemonstrate:
Excellenttechnical writing and reporting skills, with the ability to produce clear, high-quality heritage assessments
Excellentlithic artefact identification and recordingskills
Strongverbal communication and stakeholder engagementskills
Ahighly collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively inmultidisciplinary teams
Proven ability to manage heritage projects to deliver on time, within budget, and to a high standard
Key Responsibilities
In the Senior Archaeologist / Senior Heritage Advisor role, you will:
Take ownership of thepreparation of heritage reports and assessments, including complex deliverables (with support from senior team members whererequired)
Providetechnical leadership and mentoringto junior staff whereappropriate;while continuing to learn from senior team members.
Contribute to, and whereappropriate lead,projectportfoliosandproposal developmentfor key clients.
Contribute to a positive team environment and supportknowledge sharing and continuous improvement
