K & P SIDHU INVESTMENTS PTY LTD T/A K & P SIDHU TRANSPORT The Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with Australian road transport legislation, Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), company policies, and customer delivery requirements. The successful candidate will undertake vehicle inspections, maintain transport documentation, secure loads appropriately, and provide professional customer service throughout the delivery process.

Task & responsibilities
Operate heavy vehicles to transport freight safely and efficiently to designated locations.
Conduct pre-start, daily, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicles remain roadworthy.
Load, unload, and secure freight in accordance with load restraint standards and transport regulations.
Transport goods according to delivery schedules while maintaining high levels of customer service.
Complete delivery documentation, logbooks,



consignment notes, and transport records accurately.
Monitor vehicle condition and promptly report defects, maintenance requirements, or mechanical faults.
Comply with Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management, and company policies.
Follow approved routes and delivery schedules while adapting to operational requirements.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure equipment is properly cared for.
Communicate effectively with dispatch personnel, customers, and management regarding deliveries and operational issues.
Ensure freight is transported and delivered safely without damage.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures and safe manual handling practices.
Assist with minor operational duties as required to support transport activities.
Represent the company professionally during all customer interactions.
Qualification & experience
Essential Valid Australian Heavy Vehicle Driver Licence appropriate for the class of vehicle operated (HR, HC, or MC Licence preferred).
Minimum of 1 to 3 year of relevant full-time truck driving experience in freight transport, logistics, distribution, or related operations.




Demonstrated ability to safely operate heavy vehicles in compliance with Australian road transport regulations.
Knowledge of load restraint requirements, fatigue management, and heavy vehicle safety practices.
Ability to maintain accurate transport documentation and delivery records.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
Desirable Experience operating HC or MC vehicles for regional or interstate freight transport.
Knowledge of New South Wales and interstate freight routes.
Forklift Licence (advantageous).
Experience using electronic work diaries (EWD) or transport management systems.
Understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations and transport compliance requirements.
Basic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle inspections and reporting.
