Senior Associate - Small Animal Veterinarian
Our Karalee Village Vet Clinic has been providing a Gold Standard of care for the Karalee and wider Ipswich community for 20 years.
We have a dedicated and loyal client base that have come to expect a high degree of communication and care from our team and value the work we provide on a daily basis.
As part of our larger organisation, Ipswich Veterinary Group, our Karalee Village Vet clinic forms part of our 3 clinic locations, along with Booval Vet Hospital and Pine Mountain Vet Clinic.
Directors Dr. Scott Campbell & Dr. Gracen Mason provide a foundation of support and understanding along with a management team of experienced industry professionals.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate Small Animal Veterinarian looking for a secure 3 days per week, working with a wonderfully supportive team to handle every day emergency work, general consulting, and a wide range of surgical procedures.
The shifts times are 7:45am - 6:15pm for weekdays and 7am - 5:30pm on Saturdays. The clinic is closed Sundays. We are flexible on negotiating days of the week, to find a consistent roster for the successful applicant, as well as for our loyal clients seeking to see the same vet.
The position requires an experienced veterinarian with a high level of communication who is capable of making challenging decisions, while providing the best advice and care for patients and clients. We will provide support through the experience of our wider team on a daily basis.
The opportunity:
Above award wages, negotiable based on experience;
Annual education allowances can be used on technology, training, holiday accommodation/flights etc;
2 Weeks of transitional shifts with our team of existing Veterinarians to ensure you have the support required to succeed in commencing your role with us. These shifts you are rostered on with an existing experienced veterinarian to provide support while you conduct your work during your initial 2 weeks;
Experienced and professional team of vets and nurses that provide a wealth of knowledge and support to enable you to succeed;
No on call work ever! See afterhours (at the end of your shift if you choose) at your discretion, on your terms, for bonus remuneration;

Great facilities including digital x-ray (w/dental), Idexx in-house labs, fully outfitted house call vehicles, Ezyvet, and great consult/surgery/treatment spaces;

Essential professional criteria:
Minimum 3 years experience as a small animal veterinarian;
Australian citizen, work visa/working rights or permanent resident;
Qualification and Registration as a Veterinarian in the state of Queensland;
Hold a current drivers license,and a current radiation license.
