Mechanical Fitter – Industrial Equipment & Blowers

PDA Industries is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our growing team. If you enjoy rebuilding precision rotating equipment, solving mechanical problems and working with a team that values quality workmanship and commitment to safety, we'd like to hear from you.
This is primarily a workshop-based role servicing and overhauling industrial blowers and associated rotating equipment, with occasional field service work and interstate travel after an initial training period.
About the Role
Assessing, diagnosing and repairing industrial blowers and rotating equipment
Disassembling, inspecting, rebuilding and testing equipment
Servicing gear-driven and multi-bearing machinery
Maintaining high standards of workmanship, housekeeping and workshop safety
Following safe work procedures and contributing to safety improvement
Providing occasional on-site service and commissioning
Working both independently and as part of a skilled technical team
About You
Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent recognised qualification)
Proven experience repairing industrial blowers and/or multi-bearing, geared rotating equipment (essential)




Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
A demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Pride in producing high-quality workmanship
Solid communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
Experience with ring blowers and compressors will be highly regarded
A current Forklift Licence would also be advantageous
Essential Requirements
Have a genuine commitment to workplace health and safety
Have excellent computer, written and verbal communication skills
Hold a current Australian driver's licence
Have reliable transport to and from our workshop
Be punctual, honest, reliable and possess a strong work ethic
Be willing to learn, develop new skills and support fellow team members
Be legally entitled to work in Australia
