The Role
We are seeking a commercially minded, hands-on
Finance Manager
for an immediate start to oversee our end-to-end financial operations, business performance and transactional reporting.
Reporting directly to the Executive Leadership Team, you will bridge the gap between day-to-day bookkeeping/ledger control and strategic financial insights. You will oversee operational finance processes (including cross-system reconciliations between Reckon and Xero), manage cash flow forecasting, lead month-end closes, full function payroll processing and provide key decision-support reports within the fast-paced FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Operations:
Direct and oversee day-to-day transactional finance operations, ensuring full alignment across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounts.
Dual-System Strategy & Reconciliations:
Maintain system integrity between Xero and Reckon,



driving process improvements to streamline multi-platform reporting, inventory tracking, and ledger accuracy.
Month-End & Financial Reporting:
Lead the end-to-end month-end and year-end close processes, preparing timely P&L; statements, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and management reporting packages.
Cash Flow & Budgeting:
Develop, monitor, and refine rolling cash flow forecasts, operational budgets, and financial modelling to optimize working capital and support growth initiatives.
Compliance & Governance:
Ensure compliance with ATO regulations (BAS, IAS, GST, FBT), statutory reporting requirements, and corporate governance standards.
Commercial Support & Stakeholder Management:
Partner with cross-functional managers (Sales, Supply Chain, Operations) to analyse product margins, track vendor performance and drive cost-efficiency strategies.
What You'll Bring to the Table
Immediate Availability:
You must be available to start working immediately (no standard notice period).
Relevant Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. CPA/CA qualified or equivalent practical experience.
FMCG / Inventory Background:
Strong understanding of consumer goods, inventory accounting, margin analysis, and high-volume wholesale/retail distribution environments.
Software Proficiency:
Proven, practical expertise operating within dual-software environments, specifically
Xero
and
Reckon
, alongside advanced
Excel
skills
