AA Concrete Co are an established Residential and Commercial Concrete businesslocated in Mickleham.We are a progressive and innovative business built on the foundation of quality, excellence,efficiency and superior service.
Our continual growth has presented an excellent chance for a newly created full time Operations Manager to join our team. You will be the face of the business and treat the business as your own.
You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all site activities on concrete slab projects, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. This role suits and experienced concreter who has run a concreting business and thrives under pressure, leads from the front, and sets the benchmark for quality and performance on site.
You will be working with the Construction Managers, Schedulers and Estimators and report to the Managing Director. You will be the face of the business, be the owners right hand person, and treat the business as your own.
This is a Full-Time role withhours from 6.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday and Saturday work.
Responsibilities and Experience
Planning and Coordination
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and slab set-out plans.
Develop construction schedules for slab preparation and pours.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, surveyors, and inspectors.
Ensure materials, equipment, and labour are available when required.
Oversee Schedule of works to avoid delays with other projects.
Quality Control
Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, project specifications ensuring a quality finish
Ensure appropriate placement, vibration, screeding, and finishing techniques
Client Communication
Interacting with clients, builders,



and other stakeholders
Site Visits
Conducting site visits to assess project feasibility, site team performance and liaise with builders when needed.
Liaison
Collaborating with suppliers, subcontractors, and other internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Technical Expertise
In-depth knowledge of concrete slabs, formwork and steel reinforcement, excavation and site set out
Analytical Skills
Ability to analyse complex project plans, interpret specifications, and understand and execute all projects.
Communication Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Leadership
Manage, lead, recruit and train the onsite teams.
Safety
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
Computer Literacy
Proficiency in using planning software, spreadsheets, and other relevant computer programmes.
Industry Experience
Prior experience in a similar role, within the concrete construction or building industry.
Attention to Detail
Ability to pay close attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality of projects.
Time Management
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively and resolve site issues before they impact the schedule.
