About The Role
An exciting prospect has arisen for an experienced Grid Project Manager to play a key role in delivering some of the NEM's most significant renewable energy projects. Working predominantly across utility-scale wind and BESS developments, you will lead grid connection activities from early-stage development through to commissioning and compliance.
This role will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced project environment and has experience dealing with AEMO, NSP's and other key stakeholders across the NEM.
Responsibilities
Managing the end-to-end grid connection process for renewable energy projects
Acting as the technical interface with AEMO, NSPs and relevant market bodies
Coordinating connection applications, R1/R2 submissions and GPS negotiations
Supporting development, EPC and delivery teams through technical due diligence and connection risk assessment
Driving compliance activities through commissioning, hold point testing and model validation




Skills & Experience
Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering or similar
Strong experience in grid connection / power systems within renewable energy, utilities or transmission
Demonstrated experience dealing with NSPs and market operators in Australia
Knowledge of GPS and connection processes
Knowledge of power system modelling tools (PSS/E, PSCAD or PowerFactory) could be useful but not essential
Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
