This is one of Australia's most respected agricultural businesses — a proudly family-owned enterprise with 50+ years of farming heritage which has experienced ambitious growth over the last 20 years, positioning them as Australia's largest producer in a number of food categories. The business is continuing to scale and is seeking a top tier CFO to partner with the MD and operations.
This is a genuine CFO role, supported by a robust FC and finance team. You will be the financial and strategic backbone of a complex, fast-moving agri business, partnering directly with the MD on everything from capital allocation, technology automation, pricing and various growth initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
Own financial stewardship: forecasting, cashflow, working capital, treasury
Lead system optimization — block-level costings, inventory, procurement workflows
Manage and develop the finance team
Oversee payroll, IT and governance functions
Drive robust internal controls and compliance across a complex seasonal business




Deliver reporting packs for leadership, operations and financiers
You're a proven CFO or high‐calibre 2iC ready to step up — hands‐on, commercially sharp, and comfortable leading through complexity. You will bring CFO or senior finance leadership experience in food manufacturing, product distribution or FMCG. Deep capability in forecasting, cash management, ERP systems and process improvement.
Experience in family‐owned, founder‐led or PE‐backed SME environments will be highly sought after. Confidence to challenge, contribute and operate as a genuine business partner to high performing MD with a stellar reputation in the industry, A track record of building best‐in‐class finance infrastructure in lean teams.
