From unloading and organising timber to rotating stock, preparing loads and staging materials for production, you will be involved in every step of the process to ensure accuracy, safety, and efficiency.Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will operate forklifts, maintain a clean and hazard‐free yard, and work closely with our production team, Detailers and drivers so that every prefabricated wall frame and roof truss leaves the plant on time and in full.
This is an internal‐focused yard role where stock rotation, timely staging of materials, and consistent housekeeping keep the production line running without interruption.This is a perfect role for someone who enjoys working outdoors in a fast‐paced manufacturing environment,



takes pride in their work, and thrives in a team where a proactive, can‐do attitude makes all the difference.RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDEForklift operation, including loading and unloading of trucks and staging materials for the production lineMovement and stock rotation of timber and prefabricated components throughout the yardPulling and preparing outbound loads of prefabricated wall frames and roof trusses for dispatchSupporting the internal production team by staging timber and materials to keep production uninterruptedAssisting with general administration and internal team queries when neededProcessing paperwork in accordance with Dahlsens processes and proceduresManual handling of timber, plasterboard and other building materials (lifting up to 25kg, occasionally up to 40kg in a dual lift)Keeping the yard, warehouse and sheds neat, tidy and hazard‐free at all timesOccasionally delivering goods to customers when required, adhering to all road and traffic regulationsReporting hazards, near misses and incidents promptly via DonesafeLiving the "Our Circle of Care" principles – See, Say, Listen, Stop – and looking out for the safety of yourself, your team, our customers and the communityQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSCurrent Forklift Licence (LF) (mandatory)Previous experience in a warehouse, yard or manufacturing environment (preferred)Product experience with timber and building materials (preferred)Vehicle licence (preferred)Strong customer service ethic and a friendly,
