Shri Maha Varahi Pty Ltd (Trading as a Curry Point Bell Park) is seeking an experienced Chef to join our team in Geelong, VIC.
As a full-time Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of delicious meals for our guests, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation.What you'll be doingPreparing and cooking a range of dishes from our diverse menu, ensuring consistency and quality when requiredPlanning MenuMaintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulationsCollaborating with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipesProviding excellent customer service and working closely with front-of-house staffMonitoring stock levels and placing orders for necessary ingredientsAssisting with kitchen management tasks as requiredExplaining and enforcing hygieneMaking sure the food is prepared according to dietary requirements and raise and resolve any issues in preparationestimate food and labour costs while ordering food suppliesPreserve and Maintain foods in freezer.What we're looking forMinimum 1 year of experience as a Chef in a hospitality or tourism setting with knowledge and working on Indian dishes.Certificate IV Commercial cookery / Diploma in Hospitality qualificationStrong culinary skills and knowledge of a variety of cooking techniquesAbility to work efficiently and effectively in a quick-paced environmentExcellent time management and organisational skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standardsAbility to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleaguesFood safety and hygiene certificationAbility to work on week endsWhat we offerAt Shri Maha Varahi Pty Ltd, we pride ourselves on providing a supportive and collaborative work environment.
