About the role
Managing a diverse criminal law caseloadAppearing regularly in CourtsConducting pleas, bail applications, hearings and instructing in trialsAdvising clients on complex legal issues, strategy and riskLiaising with counsel, experts, police and other stakeholdersSupervising and mentoring junior lawyers and support staff (where appropriate)Contributing to the continued growth and development of the criminal law practice
About you
Admitted as a legal practitioner in Queensland3-10+ Yrs PQE, with a strong focus on criminal lawDemonstrated experience managing criminal matters with a high degree of autonomyConfident advocate with regular court appearance experienceStrong working knowledge of Queensland criminal procedure and evidenceExcellent written and oral communication skillsSound judgement, attention to detail with a strong work ethicA genuine commitment to criminal law and achieving strong client outcomesA practical, hands-on and client-focused approachCollegiate, professional and comfortable working in a highly collaborative environmentAn interest in mentoring or supporting junior team members
