Constructions (Vic) Pty Ltd is a leading, long-established civil construction and subdivision company currently expanding its operations.
We are seeking experienced and safety-conscious Pipelayers to join our construction team.In this role, you will be responsible for installing, aligning and maintaining underground pipelines for water, sewer, stormwater, gas and drainage systems across project sites throughout Melbourne's north, west and south-east suburbs.
If you take pride in precise workmanship, enjoy working in an outdoor construction environment and want to be part of a team that values safety, quality and reliability, we would love to hear from you.What You'll Be DoingInstalling underground pipes for water, sewer, drainage, and utility systemsReading and interpreting construction drawings, plans, and specificationsMeasuring, cutting, aligning, and positioning pipes to specPreparing trenches and pipe bedding materialsUsing laser levels and equipment to maintain correct pipe grades and alignmentConnecting pipes via rubber ring joints, welding, solvent welding, or mechanical fittingsAssisting with excavation, backfilling, and compactionInspecting pipes and fittings for defects prior to installationConducting pressure and leakage testing where requiredWorking safely and collaboratively with operators, labourers, supervisors,



and other tradesWhat We're Looking ForExperience in civil construction or pipeline installationAbility to read and interpret plans and levelsSolid understanding of trench safety and underground servicesExperience working with PVC, HDPE, concrete, or steel pipe systemsConfident and secure use of hand and power toolsStrong grasp of workplace health and safety proceduresPhysically fit and capable of manual labour in outdoor conditionsA team player with good communication skillsNice to Have (Not Essential)Excavator, skid steer, or other machinery ticketsExperience on water, sewer, stormwater, or utility infrastructure projectsTraffic management certificationFirst Aid certificateConfined Space and Working at Heights certificationsRequirementsConstruction White Card (Australia)Valid Driver LicenceRelevant civil construction qualifications or training (preferred)Working ConditionsThis is an outdoor, physically active role involving frequent lifting, bending, kneeling, and trench work.
