Carpenter – Home Modifications | NDIS & Support at Home | Sydney
Vital Ease is looking for an experienced and professional Carpenter to join our growing Sydney team.
We specialise in home modifications that help older Australians and people living with disability remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes.
Our clients are primarily funded through the Support at Home program and the NDIS.
Every project is designed to improve accessibility, safety, and quality of life.
About the Role
You will complete a variety of home modification projects, including:
Installation of grab rails and handrails
Ramps and access solutions
Doorway widening and minor structural alterations
Bathroom and kitchen modifications
Decking, steps, and external access improvements
General carpentry and maintenance works related to accessibility
You will work closely with Occupational Therapists (OTs), Case Managers, Support Coordinators, clients, and their families to ensure modifications are completed to a high standard and in accordance with approved plans and Australian Standards.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
A qualified Carpenter with relevant trade qualifications.
Experienced in residential carpentry, renovations, or home modifications.
Skilled in producing high-quality workmanship with excellent attention to detail.




Professional, respectful, and compassionate when working in clients' homes.
Confident communicating with Occupational Therapists, Case Managers, Support Coordinators, and other health professionals.
Able to read plans and follow modification specifications accurately.
A proactive problem solver who can work independently and as part of a team.
Committed to workplace health and safety.
Essential Requirements
Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent.
Current White Card.
Current Australian Driver's Licence.
Own tools.
National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
Working with Children Check (if required).
Australian working rights.
