With more than 115 years' experience, we work alongside people with disabilities in some of the world's poorest communities to help break the cycle of poverty and exclusion and create lasting change.Our Fundraising and Engagement team plays a vital role in connecting and engaging the Australian public, sector and government with our mission through compelling storytelling, partnerships, and advocacy.This role sits in the Marketing & Communications function, working closely with the Policy & Advocacy team and wider organisation to ideate, plan, project manage and deliver key communications content packages, while also working independently to research, write and produce accurate and timely proactive or reactive content to publicise CBMA's advocacy and international programs work.The successful applicant will:Coordinate, create and deliver targeted communications that amplify CBM Australia's advocacy, advisory and program workDevelop compelling content including articles, blogs, media releases and social media postsTranslate complex policy and program information into engaging,



accessible communicationsCollaborate across teams to plan and deliver high-quality communications within an internal agency modelSupport communications delivery for the Policy & Advocacy and Program Impact teamsDevelop and implement strategic content plans to drive audience engagementLead LinkedIn strategy and content delivery for sector audiencesManage end-to-end communication campaigns, including key advocacy moments such as International Day of People with DisabilitiesSupport media outreach and storytelling to increase awareness and engagementMonitor, evaluate and report on communication performance and campaign impactTo be considered for this role, you will have:Proven experience in policy and advocacy communications, social media engagement and campaign deliveryDemonstrated ability to translate complex policy or program content into engaging communicationsExperience engaging diverse audiences including government, sector stakeholders and the publicStrong writing, editing and storytelling skills across digital and traditional platformsExperience managing cross-functional campaigns and working collaboratively across teamsStrong working knowledge of LinkedIn and social media audience strategiesExperience in international development,



community development and/or human rights sectorsDemonstrated organisational and time management skills with strong attention to detailAbility to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in fast-paced environmentsTertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in communications, media or related disciplineUnderstanding of rights-based approaches to development and/or disability inclusionExperience with design platforms such as Canva (desirable)Experience with project management platforms such as JIRA (desirable)About youYou are a strong communicator and storyteller who is passionate about human rights and social impact, as well as hold interests in news and politics.
