About the Role Community Mental Health Services provide a range of services designed to help support the recovery and help consumer stay well in the community.
The team provide specialist services for young people, children and families, adults, and older people.
Community mental health services include a specialist Aboriginal Mental Health Team, bilingual mental health workers and Peer Support Workers.
Our main sites are at Canterbury, Croydon, Camperdown, Marrickville, and Redfern Community Health Services.
The role will be based at Camperdown.The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of patient centred; evidence informed nursing care that promotes identified health outcomes.
The Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Our unique New Employee Skills & Transition (NEST) Program is designed specifically for community mental health clinicians (CMH) and is a requirement for new clinicians with two or less than two years' experience working in CMH.
During the first three months in the role,



you will be supported to participate in the training program to enhance your understanding of the community clinician role and to deliver safe and high-quality care.
With guidance from senior clinicians and managers, you'll develop your skills in a structured and supportive environment.
The NEST Program complements our other mandatory training requirements and profession-specific development opportunities.
