Medical Secretary / Receptionist Surgical RoomsAn opportunity exists for a Medical Secretary/Receptionist who has had proven experience in Surgical Rooms of no less than 3 years, to join our busy and fast paced Surgical Rooms, specialising in Vascular (veins and arterial) based in Richmond.We are seeking a professional, friendly and compassionate individual who enjoys building rapport with patients and takes pride in delivering exceptional administrative support.
This is a key role within a boutique specialist practice where attention to detail, initiative and outstanding customer service are highly valued.This position is 2-3 days per week (8:00 am – 4:30 pm).
This is an onsite position with no opportunity to work from home.
Two days will initially be in our Richmond rooms, Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the potential third clinic day at Holmesglen Private Hospital in Moorabbin on Wednesdays.About the RoleWorking closely with the Vascular Surgeon and supporting the Practice Manager, your responsibilities will include:Providing a warm and qualified first point of contact for patientsManaging appointments, referrals and specialist consulting listsAnswering telephone enquiries and responding to patient correspondencePreparing clinic documentation and maintaining accurate medical recordsRunning the clinic sessionsScanning and linking patients' paper documents during consultingLiaising with GPs, specialists, hospitals and allied health providersPreparing and billing patient accounts including EFTPOS payments, Medicare/DVA and claimingPreparing outpatient quotes and booking patients for proceduresGeneral medical administration and day-to-day management of the consulting rooms including SMS reminders, scanning and clinic preparation etc.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:Previous experience as a Medical Secretary or Medical Receptionist in a specialist surgical practice, minimum of 3 years essential.
