This is an opportunity to contribute to an organisation with strong regulatory powers, a high-performing culture, and a clear public sector mission.About the OpportunityJoining a collaborative and high-functioning team, you will be responsible for managing FOI matters and providing expert advice on legislative obligations, compliance, and information access requests.This role would suit someone who can confidently manage complex and sensitive matters, work autonomously, and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Key ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end FOI requests in accordance with relevant legislationDraft high-quality FOI decisions, correspondence and recommendationsProvide advice on FOI requirements, exemptions and disclosure obligationsPrepare briefs, reports and responses relating to complex information requestsLiaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding FOI mattersSupport compliance, governance and information management activitiesContribute to the development and improvement of policies,



procedures and reporting frameworksAbout YouTo be successful, you will demonstrate:Previous Commonwealth Government FOI experience (essential)Strong knowledge of the Freedom of Information framework and decision-making processesExperience managing sensitive and complex requestsAbility to interpret legislation and provide practical adviceExcellent written communication and stakeholder engagement skillsExperience preparing submissions, briefs, determinations or review documentationPrivacy, governance or regulatory experience will be highly regardedWhat's on Offer?
