The role supports practice development, extended autonomy, and advanced clinical decision-making to deliver complex care, including assessment, intervention, care coordination, and recovery-oriented treatment for young people experiencing early psychosis.
Working across Griffith and Wagga Wagga, the CNS2 aims to reduce the impact of psychosis, support functional recovery, and strengthen community-based supports through timely,



evidence-based care.As the CNs – Early Psychosis Intervention Team, you will:Conducts comprehensive nursing assessments and provides expert consultation to patients, families, and staffDelivers specialist clinical leadership, mentoring, and education to enhance staff capabilitySupports a culture of learning and evidence-based practiceProvides physical health monitoring, medication management, and care planningActs as a professional role model, advocating for patients, supporting clinical governance, and contributing to policy and procedure developmentCollaborates effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, carers, and other health professionalsYour contribution as a healthcare professional will have a meaningful and positive impact, which is felt at a community level.Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:Minimum 3 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, including at least 3 years postgraduate experience in Mental Health.Postgraduate nursing qualifications relevant in Mental Health.A strong understanding of the five Clinical Nurse Consultant domainsExcellent communication, leadership and consultancy skillsCommitment to continuous learning, consumer-centred care, evidence-based practise, research and service improvement.Applications close:26 August ****This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and screening for certain diseases.
