Working alongsidequalified and skilled painters, you will gain valuable hands‐on experience, mentoring, and ongoing support throughout your apprenticeship.About the RoleAs a Painting Apprentice, your duties will include:Carrying out measurements and basic calculationsReading and interpreting plans and specificationsErecting and maintaining trestle and plank systemsHandling painting and decorating materialsUsing painting and decorating tools and equipmentRemoving and replacing doors, windows, and componentsPreparing surfaces for paintingApplying paint using brushes and rollersApplying textured coating finishes by brush, roller, and sprayRequirementsAbout YouThe successful candidate will have:A genuine interest in undertaking aPainting ApprenticeshipA White Card, or the ability to obtain one ASAPPhysical fitness and the ability to perform manual labourA willingness to learn and work as part of a teamA positive attitude, reliability,
and solid work ethicThe ability to follow instructions and take directionTrustworthiness and motivationPreferred (but not essential):A current driver's licence and reliable vehiclePrevious painting or construction‐related work experience an advantagePaid apprenticeship withon-the-job trainingOngoing mentoring from experienced, qualified paintersNationally recognised qualification upon completionOpportunity to build long‐term career pathways in the industrySupportive team environmentExposure to a variety of residential and commercial projectsDevelopment of practical, in‐demand trade skillsJob security in a growing industryEligibility Requirement:To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship, you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold an eligible visa with approved working rights in Australia.
