About the role:As a cafe employee you will be required to ensure smooth cafe operations, handling tasks from serving customers to maintaining cleanliness.
Responsibilities encompass preparing beverages, managing cash transactions and delivering exceptional customer service.
Staff are also expected to present a positive and professional image of the organisation when interacting with clients, family members, advocates, service providers, funding bodies and the general community.Responsibilities:Assist in food and drink preparation, including taking orders, brewing coffee and preparing food itemsMaintain cleanliness of the cafe, including wiping tables, sweeping floors and taking out rubbishProvide excellent customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions and resolving customer complaintsHandle cash and credit card transactionsMaintain stock inventory and appropriate levels of suppliesAssist with opening and closing procedures,



including setting up and cleaning equipmentFollow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe workplace for customers and employeesAssist with other duties as needed, including helping with events or catering ordersEnsure all health and safety and environmental health standards are achieved and maintained.Ensuring that food preparation areas and appliances are kept in clean, working condition and report any faults with appliancesReport all Work Health and Safety issuesWorking alongside our supported employees by providing assistance, encouragement, guidance and motivation to achieve their goalsThis is a position based at our café in Bowraville, with occasional shifts required at our Kempsey café.
The successful applicant must be available to work Monday to Friday.
