CNC & Edge Bander Machinist (joinery environment)Cairns Flat Packs & Kilfoy Cabinets are seeking a CNC & Edge Bander Machinist to join our team in Cairns, QLD - on a full-time basis.
This is a fantastic chance to work for a well-established company in the tropical Cairns region.
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $32-$40 per hour, negotiable based on experience.
We also work 4.5 days per week with the opportunity for overtime.What you'll be doingOperate CNC machineryOperate EDGE BANDERTroubleshoot any issues with machines and perform routine maintenanceCollaborate with the broader production team to ensure timely delivery of projectsMaintain a safe and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocolsPack, secure and label items for freight dispatchWhat we're looking forProven experience as a CNC & Edge Bander Machinist, ideally within a joinery or woodworking environmentA minimum of 3-5 years of CNC & Edge Bander machining experience is requiredStrong technical skills and the ability to read and interpret workshop drawingsProficient in operating a range of joinery workshop machinery, including routers, saws etc..
