The CMHAOD team has approximately 18 multidisciplinary clinicians and a range of additional staff including an Aboriginal Mental Health Trainee, Peer Worker, Support Worker and a Family and Carer Support Worker.
We also have Psychiatrists who are part of our team and see consumers across clinics each week.
Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol Services are provided across the life span from the Health Services Hub on the campus of the Wagga Wagga Base Hospital.We work closely with many community organisations including Medicare Mental Health, Grand Pacific Health, Headspace and Wellways, to ensure people receive the right care for their needs.
At a district level we have access to clinical leaders for MH, AOD and other specialty services such as Aboriginal Mental Health, eating disorders and Perinatal Infant Mental Health.What you'll be doing:The focus is on young people with complex or high needs who may be difficult to engage in effective treatment and support.
The aim is to guide the future management of these young people in primary health settings, provide evidence-based interventions or to facilitate referral to specialist settings where required.
These young people may be exhibiting behaviour which is indicative of a developing mental health problem, i.e.



prodromal symptoms that may be recognised by parents, teachers or other service providers, e.g. Drug and Alcohol services.Candidates will be required to meet the following criteria:Hold a relevant Australian recognised qualificationas a Counsellor, Psychologist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Registered Nurse.Registration (or eligibility) with Peak body eg; AHPRA, PACFA, AASWNSW Working with children clearanceCompliance with Vaccination category ACurrent driver's licence and willingness to travel as requiredApplications close:13 August ****MLHD values diversity and is committed to building an inclusive workplace culture that reflects the community we serve.
