Reporting into the Trading & Transition Executive, the Head of Commercial & Industrial is responsible for the strategic direction, growth and profitability of the C&I; customer segment - sourcing their energy, structuring products and solutions that meet their power requirements, in ways that create value for EnergyAustralia's energy portfolio.
Responsibilities include:Build, lead and develop a high-performing C&I; team that drives safety, accountability and performance.
Set a culture that protects our customers and creates value through teamworkDefine, communicate and embed the C&I; customer value proposition and the approach to sales, including segmentation, target customer list and contracting strategyOwn and evolve EnergyAustralia's C&I; pricing principles, product suite and repricing process by structuring offers that reduce customers' energy costsAccountable for protecting our customers across the C&I; segment and set the tone for regulatory compliance by designDevelop and propose the annual budget - Identify, quantify, target and deliver operational and financial improvements on an ongoing basis, accountable for the C&I; profit and lossMaintain competency with EnergyAustralia and Energy Protected Victoria (ESV) gas emergency protocols and processes by holding the of Gas Emergency Manager for EnergyAustralia and on behalf of customers.Maintain service models that deliver strong customer outcomes by ensuring accurate and timely billing, credit and collections, and resolve customer and ombudsman matters by addressing root causes and making systemic improvements.Be Impactful when you are applying:You'll bring proven experience across C&I; customer strategy and pricing (segmentation, contracting, and product structuring) gained within an energy or similarly complex commercial environment.
This experience will underpin your ability to embed a compelling value proposition, reduce customers' energy costs,
and ensure regulatory compliance is built in by design.
Additionally you will have most of the following:10 years' plus of energy experience covering wholesale and customer markets, with a detailed understanding of the operational and financial structure of the industryTertiary Degree in engineering, science, business, economics, commerce or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience)Demonstrated strategic mindset in a sales and origination environment, with a track record of moving ideas to successful execution and profitabilitySignificant leadership experience across multiple delivery functions in a business of similar size and complexityDeep understanding of C&I; customers and the ability to build and deliver targeted customer value propositionsHave a track record of delivering results in dynamic, highly regulated and competitive marketsFinancially numerate, with a strong ability to drill into the drivers of a customer-facing energy business and its portfolio contributionExcellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to build mutually beneficial relationshipsWhy Us?
