.There are a number of programs supported by Local Impact, includingCommunity Bike HubThe Westsider NewspaperAbout the roleWe are looking for a highly skilled Company Accountant withproven experience in managing end-to-end accounting functionsfor multiple entities and is motivated by the opportunity to help shape sustainable outcomes for the not for profit sector in Melbourne's west.
You will be empowered to make this role your own build a small accounting support team.
We work within a small supportive and dynamic team in West Footscray, that is passionate about our community and supporting the not for profit sector.The role is 4-5 days per week and hours can be versatile to suit individual needs (e.g. between school hours)Working closely with the OM and reporting to the CEO this role will own the finance function,



managing everything fromtransactional finance and month end processes to preparing and providing analysis to the financial reports.Key duties and ResponsibilitiesManage the financial accounts and compliance for Local Impact and its associated programs and clientsDesign, Development and preparation of monthly reports for IWCF and its associated entitiesProcess and manage accounts payable and receivablePrepare and manage weekly payroll (casual, part time, full time and superannuation)BAS and IAS calculations and lodgementPreparation of returns to ATO, ASIC, CA and ACNCWeekly cash and sales software reconciliationPrepare balance sheet reconciliationsPreparation of documents as required by the auditorsAssist in the preparation of annual budgetsExperience and attributesComprehensive experience with Xero and MYOB, including wages and budgeting toolsIntermediate level Microsoft office suite (excel, word, powerpoint)Accuracy and attention to detail essentialExcellent problem solving and communication skillsWell organised with excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task between projects and meet deadlinesFlexibility to support other members in a small teamRetail experience including Lightspeed and Abacus would be highly regardedCA/ CPA qualified with a degree in accounting and 3+ years experienceBAS licence would be highly regardedPosition is available for an immediate start.
A valid Working with Children Check and Police check will be required before commencing employment.
