My NFP client is seeking an experienced and commercially minded leader to join the executive team as their new Head of Business & External Relations.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this newly created role offers a unique opportunity to combine strategic leadership, business growth, partnerships and operational oversight while helping deliver services that improve the lives of older people and people with disability across Northern Sydney Why You'll Love This Opportunity: Partner directly with the CEO and play a key role in shaping organisational strategy, growth and sustainability Drive new revenue streams through partnerships, grants, sponsorship and commercial opportunities Join a purpose-driven organisation making a genuine difference to communities across Northern Sydney About the Role: This is a broad and influential leadership position combining business operations, corporate services and external relations.
You will work closely with the CEO to strengthen organisational performance while identifying and delivering growth opportunities.
Key responsibilities include: Developing and growing commercial, partnership and funding opportunities Building relationships with councils,
health providers, aged care providers, community organisations and key stakeholders Supporting strategic planning, board reporting and organisational initiatives Overseeing business services functions including people, governance, facilities and operational processes Supporting funding compliance, government reporting and organisational risk management Driving continuous improvement and contributing to a robust organisational culture About You: You are a strategic and commercially astute leader who enjoys working across a broad portfolio and building strong stakeholder relationships.
You will bring: Senior leadership experience across business operations, corporate services, business management or external relations Demonstrated success in business development, partnerships, revenue growth or funding acquisition Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
Experience preparing executive reports, grant submissions, business cases or board papers People leadership experience, including recruitment, coaching and performance management A collaborative leadership style and the confidence to operate as a trusted advisor to the CEO Desirable: Experience within community services, aged care, disability, health, local government or not-for-profit environments will be highly regarded
