Right there in the classroom.
Right there when it matters.
Parkerville Grove School is a new CARE school supporting young people in Years 7–10 whose experience of trauma has significantly disrupted their schooling.
We are continuing to build our team of passionate, skilled people who are committed to doing something genuinely different.
Why Join Us?
As our Youth Worker, you will be embedded in the classroom alongside our teachers - not on the periphery, but right in the heart of the learning workplace.
Together, you will support young people who need more than a traditional school can offer, creating a space where they feel safe, connected, and ready to learn.
This is a rare opportunity to join a growing school and help shape its future.
You will contribute to the culture, practices, and daily rhythms of a school where every team member has a voice and every relationship matters.
You will work alongside a passionate multidisciplinary team and receive ongoing trauma-informed professional learning to strengthen your practice and support the young people in your care.
We Are Looking For
We are seeking someone with relevant youth work qualifications who brings warmth, resilience, cultural humility, and a genuine belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive.
We particularly welcome applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Your lived experience, cultural knowledge,
community connections, and perspectives are highly valued and will play an important role in creating a culturally safe and inclusive learning environment for our students.
Whether you are an experienced Youth Worker or someone looking to make a meaningful difference in a unique educational setting, we encourage you to apply.
What's Next?
If this sounds like the kind of work you have been looking for, we would love to hear from you.
Please submit your resume and cover letter.
Applications close on Monday 17th August.
We will review applications as they are received and may commence interviews before the closing date, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
Parkerville Therapeutic Education Services is committed to building a diverse, inclusive and culturally safe workforce.
We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
We recognise the strength, resilience, culture, and knowledge First Nations people bring to our organisation and are committed to creating an environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees are supported, respected, and empowered to thrive.
The successful applicant will be required to hold a current Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance, and Department of Communities 395 Check.
Previous applicants need not apply.
