An chance is available for an experienced and practical HSE Coordinator to support Go West Tours' passenger transport operations for a major resources-sector client in Western Australia.
This is a site-facing role suited to an HSE professional who enjoys working closely with operational leaders, supervisors and frontline employees.
The successful candidate will provide practical HSE guidance, maintain strong stakeholder relationships and help ensure safety systems are understood and consistently applied in day-to-day operations.
Rather than operating solely from behind a desk, you will be visible in the workplace, actively engaging with drivers and operational teams to identify risk, strengthen safety behaviours and support continuous improvement.
About the Role Reporting through Go West's HSEQ function and working closely with the contract's operational leadership team, you will coordinate the day-to-day delivery of HSE requirements across the contract.
Key responsibilities will include:
Providing practical HSE advice and support to managers, supervisors and employees.
Maintaining an active and visible HSE presence across the operation.
Supporting hazard identification, risk assessment and the implementation of effective controls.
Coordinating incident and hazard reporting, notification, investigation and close-out.
Supporting injury and illness management, including the early assessment and management of workplace and non-work-related cases.
Monitoring corrective actions and verifying that they have been effectively implemented.
Conducting workplace inspections, field interactions, audits and assurance activities.
Supporting pre-starts,



toolbox meetings, safety campaigns and workforce engagement.
Monitoring compliance with Go West, client and applicable legislative requirements.
Assisting with the review and implementation of HSE procedures, risk assessments and operational controls.
Maintaining accurate HSE records, registers and reporting data.
Analysing trends and preparing meaningful HSE performance reports.
Supporting the verification of employee training, competency and site compliance.
Working collaboratively with client representatives and maintaining professional stakeholder relationships.
Promoting a culture in which hazards and incidents are reported early and managed constructively.
About You You will be a confident and approachable HSE professional who can balance compliance requirements with the practical realities of a live transport operation.You will ideally have:
A Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety, or a related qualification.
Previous experience in an HSE Coordinator, HSE Advisor or comparable operational safety role.
Experience working within mining, resources, transport, logistics or another safety-critical industry.
Working knowledge of Western Australian work health and safety legislation and risk-management principles.




Experience with incident reporting and investigation methodologies, preferably including ICAM.
Experience conducting inspections, audits and assurance activities.
Strong written communication, reporting and document-management skills.
The ability to engage effectively with frontline employees, operational leaders and client representatives.
Sound judgement and the confidence to raise concerns while maintaining productive working relationships.
Competence using Microsoft Office and electronic HSE management systems.
A current unrestricted Australian driver's licence.
Experience in passenger transport, fatigue management, injury management or large-scale resources operations would be highly regarded.
Employment Requirements The successful candidate must be willing and able to: Work a FIFO roster from Perth of 9 days on and 5 days off.
Travel and work across the relevant client operational locations.
Complete all required site inductions and client-mandated training.
Satisfy applicable pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol, licence and background-check requirements.
What We Offer A competitive salary of $120,000–$125,000 plus superannuation.
