An outstanding opportunity in market for a lawyer looking to build a long-term career in commercial litigation with one of Canberra's most respected legal practices.
Our client is seeking a Lawyer or Associate (approximately 2–5 years PQE) to join their established Commercial Litigation & Dispute Resolution team.
Working closely with an experienced and highly regarded Partner, you will enjoy genuine mentoring while also being trusted to manage your own matters and develop strong client relationships from an early stage.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys the challenge of commercial disputes and is looking to continue developing their advocacy, technical capability and commercial judgement in a supportive, collaborative environment.
The Opportunity
You will work across a broad range of commercial litigation and dispute resolution matters, including:
Commercial and contractual disputes
Shareholder and business disputes
Debt recovery and insolvency matters
Property and leasing disputes
Regulatory and administrative matters
Alternative dispute resolution, mediation and court proceedings
You'll be given the opportunity to work closely with clients, appear in matters, and progressively take ownership of your own files while receiving ongoing guidance from an experienced litigation Partner.
About You




We're interested in speaking with lawyers who offer:
Approximately 2–5 years PQE in commercial litigation or dispute resolution.
Levels outside this range are still encouraged to apply.
Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and relationship-building ability
A proactive and commercially minded approach
A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in litigation
The confidence to work autonomously while valuing mentoring and collaboration
