We are currently seeking an adaptable Senior Project Engineer / Project Engineer who thrives across multiple disciplines and enjoys the variety that comes with working on a range of project types.
Position Overview
As a Senior/Project Engineer at Doolee, you'll take on a hands-on, all-rounder role delivering our projects, reporting directly to the Project Manager.
Rather than a narrow specialisation, we're after someone adaptable who can move confidently across civil, structural, mechanical, services and general building scopes.
Given our size, you'll have greater direct influence over how projects are run, along with closer working relationships with our leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage project delivery across a variety of construction disciplines, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements across differing project types.
Develop, maintain, and oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource plans using project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project; Primavera P6 experience a plus).
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and adapt plans to suit the specific demands of each project — whether civil, structural, services or general building.
Coordinate directly with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, often across multiple concurrent projects.
Prepare and review technical documentation,
reports, and proposals spanning different scopes of work.
Bring a flexible, problem-solving mindset and contribute ideas for improving how we deliver across the business.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
Senior Project Engineer – Minimum 5 years' experience in construction, ideally spanning more than one discipline (civil, structural, mechanical, services or general building).
Project Engineer – Minimum 3 years' experience in construction, with exposure to varied project types viewed favourably.
Solid grounding in construction principles, Australian standards, and contract frameworks (e.g., AS ****, AS ****).
Comfortable working with project management and scheduling software.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the adaptability to switch between project types and scopes as business needs require.
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites across WA as required.Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
Ability to work a FIFO and adapt to remote work conditions.
