The Position
As a Field Service Representative, you will facilitate the delivery of on-site support services to the Commonwealth focusing on technical maintenance, logistic and training support of fielded CEA Sensor Systems delivered to 16 Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery (RAA) at RAAF Base Edinburgh.
We are looking for an experienced and adept technical maintainer, that is able to establish and maintain positive working relationships and rapport with Australian Army sensor operators and technical maintainers, along with a variety of other internal and external stakeholders, to support the delivery of Maintenance and Training Support Services to 16 Regiment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provision of Maintenance Support Services to 16 Regiment, include:
providing advice, guidance and knowledge transfer to Australian Army operators and technicians
conduct, recording and reporting of maintenance activities (field reports and database updates)
conducting Heavy Grade Repair
providing overflow assistance to Light and Medium Grade Repair
providing an overflow preventive maintenance capability in accordance with the Maintenance Programme
provide advice with Technical Publication updates
providing Software Support functions, system modifications and configuration management
maintenance of unique Support & Test Equipment (S&TE;)
maintenance of CEA sensors and system controller equipment within Fire Distribution Centres (FDC)
maintenance of CEA Classroom Trainer Rack (CTR) equipment
assist with Maintenance Investigations subject matter advice where requested
providing advice to 16 Regiment maintainers to develop Engineering Change Proposals, Defect and RODUM reports for CEA products
be prepared to support after hours call in and help desk functions (upon request)
Provision of Training Support Services to 16 Regiment, include:
assisting delivery of Sensor Operator and Sensor Maintainer training (technical assistance)
assist editing CEA training material and documentation
mentoring of Army technical maintainers of CEA specific equipment
support Army field consolidation training and live fire activities (upon request)

Our Ideal Candidate:
Associate Diploma/Trade qualifications in Electronics trade in any of the following:
UEE***** Certificate III in Electronics and Communications,
MEM***** Certificate III in Engineering - Electronic Trade,
MEM***** Certificate IV in Engineering (Electronics)
Minimum 5 years of commercial or military experience in maintenance and operation of complex electronic systems.
Experience with maintenance of complex electronic systems.
Experience working within a technical team in off-site locations.
Experience with system level fault finding for complex systems.
Experience with test equipment required for maintaining complex systems including: oscilloscope, multimeter and spectrum analyser
Must be prepared to complete an initial minimum of 8 weeks training during on boarding in Canberra.
Must be prepared to complete ongoing system integration training based in Canberra.
(This training can take up to 12 months to complete and will involve residential and non-residential components that will be facilitated with respect to the candidates personal circumstances, availability and work commitments.)
Must be prepared to complete Defence specific Logistics Information Management systems training (i.e. MILIS / ERP)
Must be prepared to support Army Green Field activities which may include arduous living conditions of up to 6-8 weeks per year.
Eligibility
An Australian Citizen;
Eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance - Negative Vetting 1.
