About the role
Seeking an experienced HC Truck and Quad Driver to join our team on a full-time basis.
Based in Wingfield, SA ****, this role is critical to our operations, ensuring the protected, efficient and timely transport of goods across our routes.
As an HC Truck and Quad Driver, you will be responsible for operating heavy combination vehicle, maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism whilst representing our company on the road.
Key responsibilities
Operate heavy combination truck and quad safely and efficiently in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure all equipment is in working order
Transport goods to designated destinations, meeting delivery schedules and customer expectations
Maintain accurate logbooks and documentation, including hours of service records and vehicle maintenance logs
Adhere to weight restrictions, load distribution regulations and safe handling procedures
Communicate effectively with dispatch, management and customers regarding delivery status and any issues
Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
Ensure cargo is properly secured and protected during transit
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanour when interacting with customers and the public
Comply with all relevant road transport legislation and company safety procedures
What we're looking for
Current and valid Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence with a clean driving record
Minimum 2 years' experience operating heavy combination vehicles in a professional capacity
Current National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Certificate (NHVAC) or willingness to obtain certification
Knowledge of road safety regulations, load management and vehicle maintenance
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills
Excellent time management and organisational abilities to meet delivery schedules
Reliability, punctuality and a strong commitment to safety in all aspects of the role
Experience with logistics software and GPS systems is preferred but not essential
