Career progression into a Project or Construction Manager can be facilitated for the successful candidate in this role.ABOUT THE ROLE:As an Onsite Leading Hand, you will play an integral role with our on-site team in completing commercial projects across our diverse range of sectors and clients.
This is a hands-on position working almost exclusively on-site and on the tools, you will lead an on-site team of trades fitting out stores across QLD.Other duties will include but not limited to:Provide on site guidance and support to all sub-contractors and labour hireActively participate in the fit out process, working with various toolsLiaise with clients in a skilled manner,



conducting site visits and walk throughsBe committed to providing an excellent finished productWork to tight deadlines and schedulesBe aware and act upon any potential Health and Safety hazards or risks which may be presented on siteProvide regular and consistent updates from site to Construction ManagementCandidates who prefer the sub-contractor arrangement are also encouraged to apply!
The option to travel nationally to complete projects can be offered to successful candidates.DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: The preferred candidate for a Leading Hand will possess:Full Qualifications in Carpentry, Shopfitting or Cabinet MakingExtensive experience in joinery, ideally in a shopfitting/construction industryA strong capacity to work to a schedule and deadlineAn understanding of Industry specific standardsAbility to work autonomously and as part of a teamAbility to delegate tasks effectively and efficientlyReliable and helpful to all co-workersOpen to over time requirements and travelPossess a current Drivers LicenseWHAT TO EXPECT FROM US:A competitive remuneration package based on relevant skills and experienceWork within a supportive workplace cultureWork/Life balance a priority for all staff!
