Your New Role
Classroom and Learning Support (CLS) is a dedicated service designed to assist students with disabilities and additional learning needs by offering a variety of resources and support.
Its goal is to foster an inclusive educational environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive.
CLS staff collaborate closely with classroom teachers to assess and respond to individual student needs,
delivering personalised support and strategies.
This support may involve direct teaching, small group sessions, the use of assistive technologies, and behaviour support techniques.

Work Schedule: 2 days per week, to be negotiated with successful candidate

Salary: Level 4: $***** per hour - Averaged (doesn't work in school breaks)
Essential Criteria
● Commitment to Catholic Faith and Values
Certificate III in Education Support or studying teaching at University level
Experience in working with students with additional needs
Ability to work collaboratively with the classroom teacher and other Teacher Assistants
Enthusiasm and ability to work unsupervised
Ability to support student learning in numeracy and literacy or other special projects.
Current First Aid certificate and anaphylaxis training
Highly developed communication skills
Adaptable and flexible in work situations
Interest in and desire to help children grow and develop
Willingness to undertake specific tasks and implement with small groups of children or individual learners
Shows Initiative
Current NSW Working with Children Check
Successful Candidate to undertake a National Criminal History Check
Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
Accreditation for Support Staff in a Catholic School (Category A, Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools, Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga) or working towards Accreditation
