Dynamic Support WA
Western Australia
Are you a down-to-earth and purpose-driven man ready to lead by example?
Agile Support WA is looking for active and engaged Mentors to join our team in the southern suburbs.
We go further than just "providing support".
We empower young men with disability (aged 13 to 25) to crush their goals, build independence, and find their place in the community.
If you're a natural communicator who can turn a community activity, a gym session, or even a conversation about gaming into a growth opportunity, we want to hear from you.
Before you read on, the important bit.
We're asking for weeknight availability upfront.
Our evening group programs run between 5:30pm and 8:30pm, and we're looking for people who can commit to at least two fixed weeknights.
If evenings don't work for you, this particular role won't be the right fit.
Everything else we can build around you.
About UsAt Dynamic Support WA, we specialise in the transition to adulthood.
Our culture is built on meaningful value and support for young men.
We help our participants navigate employment, social connection, and daily life through tailored one-on-one sessions and high-energy group programs.
We've been running in Wembley for two years and we're now growing into the southern corridor.
This is a chance to be part of a program from the beginning rather than joining something already set.
The Role: What You'll DoAs a Mentor, you are a coach, a guide, and a role model.
You will be trained in our GROW model (Guide, Rehearse, Observe, Win) to create real-world outcomes for our participants.
Group programs (the core of this role)
Run high-energy evening sessions with small groups of around six young men
Keep the energy up, make sure the quiet one isn't sitting alone, and pull the group together when it drifts
Lead cooking, sport, gaming, D&D; and community outings
Transport young men to and from sessions where they can't get there on their own
One-on-one support (available across the week)
Social Confidence: Bridge the gap between isolation and community through shared interests, whether that is sports, fitness, gaming, or anime
Life Skills: Teach the basics of independence, including budgeting, navigating the city, and managing a schedule
Employment Coaching: Assist participants with building resumes or practicing for interviews as they prepare for the workforce
Reporting: Maintain brief, high-quality progress notes and keep up with scheduled check-ins regarding your shifts
Who We're Looking ForThis role is perfect for early-career professionals, university students, or those looking to change careers and enter the disability sector.
We are seeking candidates who are:
Natural Leaders: You lead with empathy, integrity, and respect
Relatable: You can connect with a young man over common interests while maintaining professional boundaries
Proactive and Organised: You take initiative, see where support is needed, and act on it
Growth-Minded: You are hungry to learn and open to professional feedback
Skills we can teach.
The rest we can't.
No disability experience is required, and backgrounds in coaching, youth work, teaching, hospitality and community sport all tend to work really well.
If you know your way around Discord and video games, mention it.
We run an online gaming program and that's a genuine bonus, though definitely not a requirement.
Why Join Dynamic Support WA?
Career Launchpad: Gain high-level practical experience relevant to Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, or Psychology
Professional Development: Receive client-specific training, supervision, and mentoring development
Real Impact: You will have a genuine impact on the direction a young man's life takes
Culture: Join a team that values high standards and creates a positive environment for both staff and clients
Local: Work close to home in the southern suburbs rather than driving across the city
The Practical Details
Employment type: Casual
Hours: Around 15 hours a week to start, built around your availability

We'll confirm which nights with you.
